Pre Cleanse

Before beginning a multi-day juice cleanse we recommend that you prepare yourself with a three day pre-cleanse diet. We recommend eliminating all processed foods, meat, dairy, and caffeine. This will better prepare your body to undergo the juice cleanse and be more able to breakdown and eliminate stored toxins. Start off slow by eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, raw nuts, and sprouted grains. This will help your body to reduce hunger cravings and ease into the transition from solid foods to juice. We recommend drinking at least three quarts of pure filtered water, herbal teas, coconut water, or diluted juices to meet this daily fluid quota.

The Cleanse

Once you have completed the pre-fast diet, you are ready to move directly into the juice cleanse. The power cleanse consists of 3 quarts of fruit and vegetable juices designed to aid the body in detoxification, liver support, and immune stimulation. You should also continue to drink two quarts of pure filtered water and herbal teas per day. Fasting creates a condition of internal cleansing in the body. Most people experience increased energy levels as the cleanse progresses. Physical activity can be highly beneficial during a power fast. Gentle forms of exercise such as stretching, walking, yoga, or Tai Chi are all recommended. Be sure not to overtax yourself, pay attention to your body, rest and take naps when needed. People who undergo juice cleanses are much more likely to adopt and continue healthy eating habits.

Post Cleanse

During the fasting process, every cell, tissue, and organ of your body’s gastrointestinal tract shifts into a state of rest and repair, freed of the normal demands by the process of eating, digesting, and eliminating waste. The most important part of any juice cleanse is the appropriate reintroduction of food. We recommend that you reintroduce foods gradually, starting with foods that are easily digestible, fruits and non-starchy vegetables. Then over the course of a few days, slowly resume more complex foods.
